President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Lexier was an independent businessman, prior to accepting the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Terrex Energy Inc., a company of which he has been a director of since its IPO in June 2010. Previously, Mr. Lexier was the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Highpine Oil _ Gas Ltd. a company formerly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange; the Chief Operating Officer for NAL Resources Ltd. - manager of NAL Oil and Gas Trust (now NAL Energy Inc.), a company formerly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as well as the manager of oil and gas assets for a large financial institution. Prior to these positions, Mr. Lexier was a long serving employee of Mobil Oil Canada. Currently Mr. Lexier is a Director of Terrex Energy Inc. (TER-TSXV), Silk Road Energy Inc. (SLK.P - TSXV), Drakkar Energy Inc. and Tallgrass Energy Corp. (the latter two are private companies).
Mr. Lexier received his M.B.A. from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, as well as a B.Sc. Eng (Mech.) from the University of Manitoba.
Mr. Lexier is currently a member of the Board of Governors of SEPAC (Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada) , a former member of the Board of Governors of CAPP (Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers), and since 1985 a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
Norm G. Knecht CA
Vice President, Finance and CFO
Norm has over 38 years of corporate accounting, reporting, finance, business, and management experience, 12 years as VP Finance _ CFO of Compton Petroleum Corporation, a TSX and NYSE listed company, and 22 years as a partner with national accounting firms, with a focus on public and private resource based corporations. He played a major role in asset acquisitions, corporate acquisitions both public and private and varying in size from $10 to $105 Million. Norm led a variety of financing arrangements including public equity offerings, syndicated bank debt (maximum $500 Million), public debt offerings (maximum US $420 Million), mid-stream asset monetizations, and financial derivative transactions.
Keenon Jang, P.Geol.
Vice President, Geology
Keenon is an entrepreneurial geologic professional with over 26 years of experience and an extensive technology-focused background in multiple reservoirs. He was founder of Fury Energy Co. in 2004, a prospecting company. Keenon captured 16 sections of mineral rights and positioned to drill a wide range of high impact prospects, including a 5 million barrel Cardium horizontal play and several high impact Paleozoic gas prospects. He was also co-founder of Jurassic Oil _ Gas Ltd. in 2000, an E_P company. Keenon captured a position and initiated development on a Viking gas trend with 100 billion cubic feet potential. This Viking trend currently produces approximately 12 MMcf and 500 barrels of liquids per day. He was a senior geologist with Renata Resources Ltd., and identified and drilled the discovery well for a Cardium gas pool that produced approximately 120 billion cubic feet to date. Keenon was exploration geologist at Gulf Canada Resources Ltd., and contributed to reserves additions of over 7 million barrels of light oil and 32 wells producing approximately 3,200 barrels per day.
Dr. Necmettin (Nick) Mungan, P.Eng.
Chief Technical Advisor
Nick is a world-recognized expert in reservoir engineering and enhanced oil and gas recovery projects. He received his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering with High Honors from the University of Texas. With decades of experience, he has worked with three major oil and gas companies -Pan American Petroleum Company (also known as Standard Oil of Indiana and later Amoco); Sinclair Oil and Gas Company; and the Alberta Energy Company (now Encana). He has consulted in some sixty oil and gas producing countries. He is an Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Calgary and a Visiting Professor at the Engineering Faculty of the National University of Mexico, teaching graduate level Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering courses. He, also, prepares and teaches advance courses for oil and gas companies worldwide, providing both the fundamentals and field applications. Nick is a published author of more than 60 papers, and has contributed chapters to several books. He has served or chaired over two dozen scientific and technical committees. He is also the recipient of numerous scientific and professional societies' awards.
